Surrounded by the sea and salt marshes, Castle Hill (Massachusetts, USA) is the estate of Richard T. Crane, Jr. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he built his country house, a residence overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In order to complete his project, Crane hired the best garden designers with a task to create magnificent landscapes. The grass alley is the most impressive. Nearly half a mile long and 160 feet / 49 m wide, the green path seems to “flow” down to the waters of Ipswich Bay. Surrounded by evergreen vegetation, the "Grande Allée" is adorned with Classical-style sculptures.
