In Hyde Park stands the house where 32nd president of the United States was born and later often spend time and worked during his presidency. Springwood in Hudson River Valley above New York was the Roosevelt family estate. It was a home and the center of the life for Franklin D. Roosevelt. After his death he was buried here, his tomb is located in the rose garden.
Also in Hyde Park located is Val-Kill cottage build by Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of FDR. Initially it was a craftsmans workshop, later Eleanors home.
