The home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, a majestic mansion overlooking the Hudson River was completed in 1913. John D. Rockefeller, the richest man of his time, bought Kykuit (upstate New York, USA) and had the home redesigned. Over the years, members of the family not only maintained this residence, but also added private art gallery, featuring many paintings by well-known artists. Gardens around the Kykuit property decorated are with fountains and park pavilions. Along the paths stand many contemporary statues and abstract sculptures.
While in the area, worth visiting is also small Union Church of Pocantico, located very close to Kykuit estate.
