In the close proximity of Chamula is San Lorenzo Zinacantán, a small village also inhabited by the indigenous Tzotzil Maya people. Church of San Lorenzo is more traditional Catholic place when compared to the one in Chamula. The Dominicans constructed it back in 1546. It was Sunday and we could witness a local wedding. Pink and purple color flower embroidered clothing was the only type of festive outfit for both women and man.
