The modernist mansion in Wisła, Poland is the residence of the President of the Republic of Poland. The building called the little castle was erected in 1929-1930 according to the design of Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz. The building's body was supposed to refer to a medieval castle, but the architect introduced a flat roof. As you know, in mountain conditions, with heavy snowfall, it was far from functional. It was necessary to add a steep roof, which was built in 1938.
A wooden chapel stands in the immediate vicinity of the President's residence. It was built on the initiative of Archduke Frederick Habsburg in 1909. Inside, there is an altar from the 17th century and memorabilia donated by presidents and first ladies of Poland. Since the majority of the local population is Evangelical, services of two denominations, Catholic and Evangelical, are held in the chapel.
