We went to Olomouc in Czechia mainly to see its old town and a very unique Baroque monument. Built in the 18th century the Holy Trinity Column with gilded statues is an expression of gratitude after a plague that struck Moravia in 1713-1715. Also, interesting to see are several city’s large squares with old Baroque fountains. The oldest dates back to 1683. Olomouc astronomical clock is a socialist realist reconstruction of the one that was badly damaged during World War II.
