Built in the end of the 17th century, Wilanów Palace is a baroque suburban residence in Warsaw, Poland. Ancient symbols in the facade and in the palace interiors glorify the first owner, King John III Sobieski and his military triumphs. After kings death palace was owned my many Polish magnate families, finally to become the first museum in Poland in 1805. Wilanów Palace survived both World Wars and was not demolished after Warsaw Uprising.
