Indonesian island of Sulawesi (formerly known as Celebes) belongs to the largest islands on Earth and has a multi-million population. Makassar is the largest city. Dominant religion on the island is Islam, but many Christian groups live in northern part of the island. The most interesting for me was the extraordinary culture of Toraja people. A visit to the mountainous region of Tana Toraja was my main objective of the journey to Sulawesi.
