The waterfront in the capital city of George Town is sleepy and not very interesting. It only becomes crowded when people from the visiting cruise ships decide to step ashore. Similar Caribbean colonial cities have many colorful buildings from the past, narrow streets, squares and authentic West Indies atmosphere. Unfortunately, you cannot expect anything like that, in the Cayman Islands. History is not present here. All you can find in this city are modern shopping malls and rows of office buildings.
