Jamaica

Jamaica in the Caribbean is considered the birthplace of reggae. Bob Marley popularized reggae and empowerment it as an expression of political and social views. He linked it to the Rastafari movement, which was born in the 1930s and is now spread around the world. Based on an unusual interpretation of the Bible, Rastafarians believe that people of African descent living around the world are exiles. The ultimate goal is to return to Zion, or Africa, the original birthplace of humanity.
